Synopsis
Yakuza’s Enigma is a Visual Novel about a story that takes place
in 2000's Japan, primarily in Tokyo and its wards.
The protagonist of the game is the son of a Yakuza clan named Kuna Matsumura, who has just run away from his arranged marriage and now lives with his boyfriend just a few cities away from Ikebukuro.
Having been sheltered all his life, Kuna must now learn how to be an adult and take care of himself, something that is so foreign to him. The game follows his daily life as you are led to make decisions and spend time with characters that will affect how the end of Kuna's story goes.Will he live a peaceful life, or will his actions catch up to him?

Kuna is a teenage boy fresh out of high school, as well as a runaway son of a dangerous yakuza family, the Matsumura-Kei.As someone who has never had to make a choice or do things on his own, Kuna has been thrown off the deep end of adulthood.His story follows his life of coming to terms with his own sexuality, as well as learning to live for himself, not for others.

Kamui is a man Kuna met one night after sneaking into a bar that wouldn't card him. First described as very tall and intimidating, Kuna was instantly won over once Kamui offered to buy him a drink to make up for the tension.As of now, Kamui is Kuna's closest friend and likes to drag Kuna out to new restaurants and bars in the area, teaching him that he can live life a little loose sometimes.Kamui doesn't like to talk about himself very much, but is always willing to lend a shoulder or an ear to anyone wanting to rant.

Mizu is a teenage girl fresh out of high school, as well as the daughter of a dangerous yakuza family, the Matsumura-kei.She is the twin of Kuna and also a part of the problem as to why he ran away. Instead of preparing for her college entrance exam, Mizu has been tasked with the job of finding Kuna and bringing him back home, with the promise of becoming the new head of the family.Resentful that it had to come to this, Mizu is determined to bring Kuna home and resolve everything herself.

Yukio is a club host who used to be a model during his teen years. Although he doesn't mind working as a host, his main goal is to become a model again.He is Kuna's boyfriend and also roommate, the two share an apartment under Yukio's grandfather's name. The only thing they have to worry about is paying their bills, but with just Yukio working, that's hard to manage.Yukio is fairly elusive mature as he likes to dote on Kuna, but also tends to scold him for being too lazy. Yukio has been pushing Kuna to get a job.

When will the game be out?
This is a passion project of mine, and while I do spend a lot of time working on it, I am also a college student with a big workload.. My absolute goal is to have this game published before I graduate college!

Pairing Playlists
Sometimes when I'm driving I like to think about the songs that play and how they could apply to my ocs and potential animatics I'd like to make of them. The only playlist that is not to be taken romantically is "Kuna + Mizu".
Slightly old but still a good playlist, this is a combination of songs I think fit the twins, as well as I've considered animating them to.
